An exceptional vintage lapis ring by Danish designer Jens Hougaard! This Modernist-style piece is crafted in sterling silver and displays a bold and fabulous look. The ring features two lapis lazuli stones in a symmetrical formation, creating a stylish bypass design. The rectangular shaped stones exhibit rich, deep blue hues with soft white marbling throughout, and pair perfectly against the silver setting. A smooth, elevated bezel wraps around each stone, and is attached to a thick band that tapers slightly from front to back. Stamped behind the centerpiece is the authentic "HOUGAARD" signature hallmark, a "925S" purity mark, and the serial number "77." This fabulous piece would make a unique and wonderful addition to any JENS HOUGAARD or Modernist jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6, but may be able to be resized slightly. Significant resizing is not recommended, due to the unique design. The bypass design at the center measures a little more than 1" tall, about 5/8" wide, and rests 3/8" above the finger when worn. The back of the band measures 4mm wide at the center.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. The lapis stones are intact and securely set.
